Joining Media, Pennsylvania, Brattelboro, Vermont, Milwaukee, WI, Amherst, MA and Taos, NM Northampton, MA is now the 6TH Fair Trade Town in America and San Francsco just became the 7th!!!! Pioneer Valley Local First joined the Northampton Fair Trade Coalition in the Spring of 2007 and looks forward to continuing to work to promote Fair Trade Products in the Pioneer Valley.

In Northampton we are calling our campaign "Buy Local, Buy Fair;" the idea being to encourage people to buy fair trade products from locally owned stores. This way we can take care of the world and ourselves at the same time. While not locally owned, we do want to thank and recognize Ten Thousand Villages for their commitment to promoting Fair Trade products both here in Northampton and across the country.
