July 11 Is World Population Day!

This July 11 marks the 19th annual World Population Day. Created by the United Nations, this day provides people around the world with the opportunity to reflect upon global population, health, and environment issues. This year's theme, "Plan Your Future: Plan Your Family," is intended to build awareness of the importance of voluntary family planning and why it is a cornerstone of a wide range of development issues, including gender equality, poverty, maternal health, human rights, and environmental protection.
